Well, as some of you know, I also do some modelling as a hobby, but mine is of the 28mm pewter variety rather than the larger scale plastic variety. I recently painted a druid model for the Iron Kingdoms setting (she's actually a warlock for the Circle Orboros faction of the wargame Hordes), and the pictures came out rather well, so I figured I'd share her with the rest of you.

These are mostly vallejo paints, with citadel metallics, and a few reaper paints. Recently I've started using P3 paints by privateer press (the people who produced this model), but they weren't out yet when I painted this. Brushes are Windsor & Newton series 7, sizes 00 (eyes and lips), 0 (face and some other small details), 1 (most painting), and 2 (base coating and large areas like the cloak).

Awesome work Althai!

I love to paint minis as well, though I don't have some of the better techniques down. Mine tend towards glossy than realistic. smile.gif The first one below was the only one I've done since starting to do highlighting etc.

I use Tamiya paints. Pretty much same brushes as Althai.

Here are a couple I've done:

Neat models. smile.gif I love some of the fantasy model stuff. I came ---><--- close to getting into it way back when just because I thought some of the W2K models looked so nice when well painted.

Some sticker shock and analysis of the time commitments derailed that whole idea though.

Post more pics!!!

This guy was a ton of fun to paint. smile.gif He is SO HUGE compared to all of my other miniatures. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I have to transport him somewhere tongue.gif

Well, you can see the size comparison in the unpainted picture of him above. I guess he's not that big, but compared to the other minis I paint, he's pretty big.

Cleric in full plate with war hammer and heavy shield model I painted up to represent my favored soul in an upcoming rpg. (The face didn't come out very well in this shot, and isn't quite so dark.)
